Consulting
Expertise
Using a collaborative consulting process, we carry out systematic research projects. We analyze how and why information resources are used and how they can be best improved.
We specialize in the following research methods for evaluating Web and intranet sites, as well as other information resources. Read about some of our findings that have us talking.
Usability Testing
We formulate and conduct usability tests, working with a representative sample of users, who complete tasks on Web and intranet sites. Find out more about why usability testing matters.
User Profiling
Using demographic data and interviews, we develop personas and user profiles for guiding design decisions.
Online and Field Surveys
We design questionnaires for collecting data about users' reported habits, experiences, and perceptions when using a given information resource.
Focus Groups
We conduct discussion groups with participants to collect data about preferences, attitudes, and group consensus.
Interface Design Audits
We analyze how a site measures up with established findings about usable design, based on metrics from Human-Computer Interaction, cognitive science, and information science.
